We built this website to replicate an existing bespoke design by Strohacker Studio, in the process freshening up styling and functionality and applying some SEO enhancements. The requirements included a new blog section, a clean look and feel and for content to be added or updated easily. There were also some web and email hosting issues that needed investigation. Alexandra Luzzato Osteopath is a well-established osteopathy clinic based in Brighton & Hove.
The site was built using the WordPress platform for ease of content updating, and with some additional styling and functionality a clean, industry-appropriate and aesthetically pleasing look was achieved with minimal use of colour. The FAQs page is presented using contemporary ‘reveal and hide’ toggles and a newly added blog provides regularly updated, engaging content, fulfilling a basic SEO requirement for improved Google rankings.
The simple addition of location and contact details in an ever-present strip ‘above the fold’ means website users, whether on desktop, tablet or smart phone, are never far from being able to get in touch quickly. That’s simple – but good – usability.
The client was happy with the improved styling and cleanliness of the website, finding it to be sympathetic to her industry, and found adding new blog posts to be a simple and intuitive process following an hour’s training session at Maroon Balloon HQ in Chichester.
Website visits have grown, as has user engagement: longer times spent on site resulting in improved numbers of enquiries and an increase in online bookings. In Google Analytics terminology, there are now less ‘drop offs’ in the user journey towards the end goal of completing and submitting the enquiry form.
In addition to taking over web hosting arrangements the client is now able to reliably manage her emails on the move with all devices synchronised, using (the now standard) IMAP mailboxes.
